Għeluq tat-62+ Savings Bond tal-Gvern ta’ Malta - Ħruġ 2021


It-Teżor iħabbar li sad-data tal-għeluq fis-2:30 p.m. tat-Tnejn 4 t’ Ottubru 2021, il-valur totali tal-applikazzjonijiet tal-ħruġ tat-62+ Savings Bonds tal-Gvern ta’ Malta ta’ din is-sena, magħmula minn applikanti ġodda u applikanti li diġa għandhom xi bond/s tat-62+ Savings Bonds tal-Gvern ta’ Malta li ħarġu fis-snin ta’ qabel, kien ta’ ftit anqas minn €134 miljun. L-ammont awtorizzat tal-ħruġ kien ta’ €65 miljun u soġġett li l-ammont jiżdied sa massimu ta’ €35 miljun oħra, f’każ li d-domanda tkun aktar mill-ammont tal-ħruġ. It-Teżor iħabbar li ser jeżerċita d-dritt li jżid l-ammont kollu tal-over-allotment sabiex l-ammont li jiġi allokat jiżdied sa massimu ta’ €100 miljun.

Skont artikolu 12 (a) tal-Prospett, l-applikazzjoniet tal-applikanti eliġibli l-ġodda magħrufa bħala Applikanti ta’ Kategorija A, ser jiġu aċċetati u allokati kollha. Il-porzjon li jibqa’ x’jiġi allokat ser jitqassam bejn l-applikanti ta’ Kategorija B, li diġà għandhom xi bond/s tat-62+ MGSB li ħarġu fis-snin ta’ qabel; dawn ser jitqassmu skont policy tal-allokazzjoni li ser titħabbar mill-Accountant General aktar ’il quddiem. 
 
Id-dettalji tal-allotment policy li tolqot lill-applikanti ta’ Kategorija ‘B’ ser tiġi mħabbra permezz ta’ stqarrija għall-istampa u tiġi ppubblikata wkoll fuq is-sit elettroniku tat-Teżor immedjatament wara li tiġi konkluża l-verifika tal-applikazzjonijiet għall-konformità mal-prospett. 

Rifużjonijiet tal-flus mhux allokati se jsiru qabel  toħroġ l-Avviż ta’ Reġistrazzjoni mill-Borża ta’ Malta u dawn jitħallasu permezz ta’ kreditu bankarju taħt l-iskema Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA)  fl-International Bank Account Number (IBAN) kif hemm indikat fil-formola tal-applikazzjoni. L-ebda mgħax ma jitħallas fuq l-ammonti mhux allokati għall-perjodu sakemm dawn jitħallsu lura.

Kif hemm stipulat fil-Prospett, l-imgħax fuq it-62+ Savings Bond tal-Gvern ta’ Malta – 2021 jibda jakkumula mill-Ġimgħa 15 ta’ Ottubru 2021.

PRESS RELEASE BY THE MINISTRY FOR FINANCE AND EMPLOYMENT

Closure of the 62+ Malta Government Savings Bond – Issue 2021 


The Treasury announces that by the closing date at 2.30 p.m. on Monday, 4th October 2021, the total value of applications for this year’s issue of the 62+ Malta Government Savings Bond received from new applicants and applicants who already hold a 62+ Malta Government Savings Bond/s issued in previous years, was just below €134 million. The authorised sum on issue was of Euro 65 million subject to an over-allotment option of an additional maximum amount of Euro 35 million. The Treasury announces that it will exercise its over-allotment option in full such that the aggregate amount to be allocated will be increased up to a maximum amount of €100 million.  

In terms of article 12 (a) of the Prospectus, all applications received from new eligible applicants known as Category A applicants will be satisfied and allocated in full. The remaining amount available for allocation will be allotted among Category ‘B’ applicants who already hold a 62+ Malta Government Savings Bond/s issued in previous years; these will be allotted in accordance with an allocation policy to be announced by the Accountant General in due course.

The details of the allotment policy in respect of Category ‘B’ applicants will be communicated through a Press Release and published on the Treasury’s website immediately after the vetting of applications for compliance with the provisions of the Prospectus is finalised.

Refunds of unallocated monies will be effected before the issue of relevant Registration Advice from the Malta Stock Exchange will be paid by credit transfer through the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) scheme in the International Bank Account Number (IBAN) indicated in the application form. No interest is due on any unallocated amounts for the period until such amounts are refunded. 

As stipulated in the Prospectus, the interest in the 62+ Malta Government Savings Bond – Issue 2021 starts accruing from Friday 15th October 2021.
